  9. =                          QUICK HELP                         =
  10. ===============================================================
  11. These instructions identify the steps needed to quickly get
  12. started with Bits'n Pieces. The discriptions found here are of
  13. Bits'n Pieces in the condition found after the first installa-
  14. tion. Some attributes discribed here may not be accurate with
  15. the Deluxe Version due to custom-option-startup capabilities.
  16.  
  17. 1. From the Main Menu, choose 'File' then 'Open New...'
  18. 2. From the OPEN dialog box, choose the .bmp file you wish to
  19.    try as a puzzle, then choose 'OK'. The picture will be
  20.    displayed as 25 pieces, identified by a blue grid.
  21. 3. From the Main Menu, choose 'Puzzle' then 'Mix'. The puzzle
  22.    pieces will be mixed and...
  23. 4. A small box will be displayed explaining that the 'Alt'
  24.    button is used to reactivate the Main Menu. Choose 'OK'.
  25. 5. The mouse cursor will change to a hand. Click the Left mouse
  26.    button when the hand is over the piece you wish to move. The
  27.    cursor will show a hand holding a puzzle piece letting you 
  28.    know that you have chosen that piece.
  29. 6. Move the mouse cursor over the area where you wish to place
  30.    the chosen piece and click the left mouse button again to
  31.    drop the piece. The chosen piece and the piece located in the
  32.    spot where you dropped it will swap.
  33. 7. Continue to loop through steps 5 and 6 until the puzzle is
  34.    complete.

  36. By the way:
  37. * You may return to the Main Menu at any time by pressing the
  38.   'Alt' button on your keyboard. This allows you to choose other
  39.   options or exit Bits'n Pieces.
  40. * You may change the number of puzzle pieces by the following:
  41.   From the Main Menu, choose 'Puzzle', then 'Number of Pieces'
  42.   then choose your selection from the submenu.
  43. * If you have other questions, see the other .txt files which
  44.   were distributed with Bits'n Pieces.
